Our book of the week is... "Little Monkey Lost" by Keith DuQuette (Author and Illustrator) Talk about an adventure! This cute "little monkey" decides to "accidentally" venture off away from his comfortable, safe, home because he was bored. He meets quite a variety of other jungle members along his quest to find his way back home. He's so cute, so genuinely intuitive, yet so innocent. But... You'll have to pick up your own copy or borrow it from your local library in order to find out if Little Monkey makes it back home.
We LOVE this book because the author who happens to also be the illustrator chose to use just the right amount of copy to express Little Monkey's moods, emotions, and concerns. He chose the perfect colors and softer-style illustrations in order to draw the reader in immediately, and instantly root for Little Monkey's safety. Each page is filled with purposeful, detailed images. The author did an excellent job in making us love Little Monkey. Again, don't miss out on this lovely story. Get your hands on a copy ASAP, and as always, enjoy! :) Here are previous book favorites that we recommend. Comments are closed.
