Hirsche, Jr. When we first realized and decided that we would homeschool our child, we dove in full-body into an ice-cold, seemingly bottomless pond... alone. We had only heard of the term “home school” or “homeschooling,” but weren’t quite sure what it meant or consisted of. We searched library books on “what homeschool is,” wikihow on “how to homeschool,” various magazine articles, websites, friends who were familiar with homeschooling, and anyone or anything we could find that would remotely make sense. "Llama Llama Red Pajama" by Anna Dewdney (author and illustrator) Anna Dewdney’s “Llama Llama” series is one of our absolute most favorite children’s book series EVER! Dewdney proved to be superbly talented in both writing, rhyming, and illustrating each and every one of the Llama Llama books. “Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus!” by Mo Willems (author and illustrator) What a cute little character “Pigeon” is in this series. He’s a cute, clever buddy who’s been left in charge of the bus during the bus driver’s momentary break. Boy does Pigeon beg and plead with the readers, trying several times and several ways to coax children into granting his request. |
