4th-8th Grade "Mile-High Cake!" During our FOURTH class together on Thursday, November 8th, we decided to take a breather from the intense study of learning all about the "Seven Basic Elements of Art." Instead, we focused on DESSERT! With Thanksgiving Holidays just around the corner, and in honor of my newest favorite artist, Wayne Thiebaud (and all his wonderfully, scrumptiously rendered dessert paintings and artwork), we touched on elements of perspective drawing while exploring soft/chalk pastels on charcoal paper. What a BLAST! Thank you for the inspiration, Mr. Thiebaud, and thank you students for helping us enjoy yet another terrific artistic learning experience! Bon appétit!

:) Thank you! The students worked hard and diligently with a dusty yet blendable medium (pastels). Comments are closed.
