Educational Fun with Magic Grow Capsules!

6/5/2018

Magic Book for Growth Capsules
Sometimes, when typical homeschool days become homeschool “daze,” we crave just a modicum of a spark of unusual excitement. “If only,” we confess to each other, “we could do something ‘MAGICAL’ for a change.” VIOLA! We’ve found your spark of magically exciting, affordably amazing, easy-as-pie solution right here at ArtEase! And chances are, you’ve walked right past “them” several times and didn’t pay attention to them. Click “read more” and receive your “Magic Education Pass" to what’s behind door number one…
You’ve just received FREE information to discover your own…“Magic Grow Capsules!” That’s right, regular old, $1.00 or less, package of 10 to 12 magic grow capsules. They are magical, indeed. Yes, they actually “grow” AND, they are actually little capsules. If you’re unfamiliar with these fun little capsules of magical intrigue, let me paint a vivid picture for you, a picture slathered with activity ideas, too.

Magic Grow Capsules are actual capsules just like the medicine capsules you’d get in a capsule container.  But, this capsule is actually stuffed with a small ball of what appears to be a simple piece of sponge (and are not to be eaten; also not suited for children under 3 years old, as stated on each package). They come in packages of 10 to 12 capsules, a variety of themes, and they come in all kinds of colors. The packaging is usually colorfully inviting, showing images of what you and your adventurers can expect, should you engage. We typically pick up several packages whenever we visit the dollar store.

Once you’ve grabbed your package from the store and are ready to engage, this is all you have to do.
  1. Carefully open the package as to not lose all your capsule behind the toilet or behind the counter next to the sink
  2. Grab a bowl and fill it with warm water
  3. Drop the capsules into the warm water for a few minutes
  4. Watch the capsule begin to expand
  5. After a few minutes, each capsule dissolves and reveals a sponge in the shape of an animal or bug!

It’s like MAGIC! Just like that, you’ve “hatched” fun, cute, harmless little creatures. And the great thing about these buddies is that the fun doesn’t have to stop there. Here are ways we encourage you to consider enjoying your magic growth capsules.

  1. GO FISH! - since our student absolutely loves being in, on, around water, we’ve come up with all kinds of indoor water activities, including fishing for water capsules. Not with typical fishing equipment or location. We fish in the bath tub, with our pant legs rolled up, using chopsticks! It’s lots of fun, learning how to use chopsticks AND trying to catch little sponge critters with them, shin-deep in the bathtub. (See more on water activities at home here.)

  2. TOUCHY FEELY - when we have more distinguishable-themed capsules like insects or sea creature, we play a game where we each close our eyes, try to find a capsule floating around in the kitchen sink, and attempt to name the animal. It’s tricky but fun trying to distinguish tentacles from crab legs while blindfolded.

  3. WHO AM I? - this game is a lot like Charades, but when each person is trying to get the other to guess what animal or creature he is, he must use a voice and gestures the way he imagines his creature to be. This can get very hilarious watching each others interpretation of their chosen creature.

  4. SKETCH ARTIST - this is one of the easiest go-to activities that work hand-in-hand with the newborn capsule buddies. Choose a sponge or two, and either draw it larger than life and add in details, or paint it on canvas or other material. You could always use this opportunity to look up details about your creature and learn more about them.
All this magical fun with just a buck or two is immeasurable! Our child has enjoyed hours of playing in the water with magical growth sponges, and each time, the creatures take on new roles or duties. Endless fun and creative ideas!.

We hope you’re intrigued enough to try having a spectacular time with little, unassuming magic grow capsules. Let us know what other activities you’ve created to enjoy a simple pack of toy capsules. Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
