JANUARY 20 NATIONAL PENGUIN DAY National Bird Day is celebrated on January 5th. Today, we celebrate penguins, the flightless, aquatic birds. Even though they live much of their lives in water, they are classified as birds because they have feathers, lay eggs, and are warm-blooded. How to celebrate National Penguin Dilly Day, you say? Draw or paint a picture of penguins, wear black and white, eat black and white foods (Oreos, chocolate or powdered donuts, black eyed peas), or learn more about the many species and how we can protect them. Enjoy!
