SWEET FATHER'S DAY TREAT

6/8/2018

Picture
Soooo… what in the world do you and the kids give Dad for Father’s Day that he doesn’t already have a ton of, that he would be surprised to have, and that he would thoroughly enjoy? We have the PERFECT, original, fun, simple yet thoughtful, sweet-filled surprise that not only will you and your kids enjoy creating together, but we guarantee that your special dad will be HIGHLY satisfied to be the recipient of!
Dad’s Favorite Candy Jar!

Yes, it’s just that! It is a glass (or plastic) "cookie" jar, filled with dad’s most favorite candy or dessert, wrapped with a cool “manly” ribbon around the lip, and a custom-made, hand-drawn, kid-designed “Happy Father’s Day” label on the front. That’s it! We made this for our favorite dads a few years ago, and it has been the talk of the town ever since. Each year, they indirectly ask about another gift like “the Father’s Day gift a few years ago.” We are speaking from experience when we say that your dads will LOVE this gift.

This is all we did:
  1. Purchased a glass jar from our local hobby store, whichever size best suits your recipient (we preferred the old-school, hinge-close, air-tight glass jar)
  2. Purchased one of dad’s favorite candy which happened to be peanut M&M’s that year
  3. Cleaned the jar out thoroughly and let it completely dry
  4. Filled the glass jar up to the rim with M&M’s an snapped it shut
  5. Wrapped a nice, handwritten “Happy Father’s Day” ribbon around the lip of the jar just below the opening
  6. Taped his greeting card to the outside of the jar
  7. Presented it to Dad on Father’s Day and…
  8. It’s been refilled repeatedly over the years

That is ALL there is to it, and it remains one of their top favorite Father’s Day gifts of all time! We hope you give this simple yet PERFECT gift a chance. Let us know how it turns out.
