ICE CREAM IN A BAGGIE

5/20/2018

Picture
Making a simple bowl-size batch of ice cream is a cinch, once you know what to do and how to do it. No need to pull out the bulky, noisy homemade ice cream machine just because you're craving a delicious non-store-bought bowl of ice cream. We have a fun and easy, minimal supply-needed solution to your summer ice cream crave: "Ice Cream in a Baggie!" Here's what you'll need...
MATERIALS NEEDED
1 Small, Pint-size Zip-type Baggie
1 Large, Gallon-size Zip-type Baggie
1/2 Cup Milk
1/4 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Tablespoon Sugar
6 Tablespoons Salt
Ice (enough to almost fill gallon-size zip bag)
Spoon
DIRECTIONS
  1. Fill the large zip-style bag hall full of ice.
  2. Add the salt and seal the bag.
  3. Put the milk, vanilla, and sugar into the small zip-style bag and seal the bag.
  4. Carefully place the small bag inside the large bag (of salt & ice) and add any remaining ice. Seal the bag.
  5. Shake the whole bag (now containing the small bag of milk) until the mixture turns into ice cream (about 5 to 10 minutes)
  6. Remove the small bag from the large bag and wipe off well.
  7. Open carefully and enjoy your ice cream!

We hope you have fun creating this easy, single-serve bag of ice cream. Let us know how you customize your batch. Remember to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Enjoy! :)
