MARCH 3 NATIONAL COLD CUTS DAY Cold cuts are cured or precooked meats that are sliced and served typically on sandwiches or meat trays. There are all kinds of cold cuts to choose from and a variety of ways to enjoy them. Will you be enjoying a hot or cold sandwich today? Cold or melted Swiss, provolone, cheddar, or gouda cheese? Wheat toast, rye, hoagie, ciabatta, or brioche bun? Sub sandwich or meat and cheese tray? Ham, turkey, chicken, roast beef, or salami? Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, olives, pickles, cucumbers, and/or peppers? Mayo, mustard, oil & vinegar, oregano, salt, and/or pepper? With a side of chips, salsa, salad, soup, or baked potato? Sub sandwich or meat and cheese tray? Oooooh, can’t wait to indulge. Enjoy! :)
MARCH 2 NATIONAL OLD STUFF DAY Let’s start spring cleaning today! It’s National Old Stuff Dilly Day, and what better way to celebrate than clearing out the old stuff in order to welcome in the new tidings? Grab your cleaning supplies, cleansing products, the vacuum, trash bags, mop, broom, duster, cleaning cloths, and let’s get busy! There’s bound to be SOMETHING deserving of a little cleansing attention today, such as the refrigerator, a closet, a pantry, a vehicle, kids’ room, file cabinet, computer, email box, garage… Declutter and "minimalize" your life in some way today!
MARCH 1 NATIONAL PIG DAY Today honors the domesticated pig. Cute and cuddly (at least the little ones), pigs are omnivores (eating both plants and animals). There are over 2 billion pigs in the world (domesticated and wild)! Little known facts about pigs: they have a keen sense of smell, they use their snouts for finding food in the ground and sensing the world around them, and they are quite intelligent beings. Celebrate this dilly day by visiting them at your local zoo, drawing a picture of a cute little piglet, and/or learning more about them today!
