NATIONAL STICKER DAY
Back in the 80’s, I engaged in a fun children’s collector’s phenomenon called “sticker books!” EVERYONE was into it. The collector would purchase a sticker book (or use a photo album) and gather as many stickers as he could to create pages with varieties of stickers. Then we’d exchange stickers or sticker books with friends. I LOVED IT! There were scratch-and-sniff stickers, hilarious “Garbage Pail Kids” stickers, puff stickers, Lisa Frank stickers, Hello Kitty stickers, stickers of our favorite movie and cartoon characters, and more! Ohhhhh…. the fond, fun memories…. Celebrate this day by looking back on your collections, buying a new book and rekindle old flames, writing on sticky notes, or just observing the number of bumper stickers you see today. Make it a fun, adhesive day!
