NATIONAL CROISSANT DAY

A croissant is a delicious, flaky, buttery pastry originating in Austria and is named for its crescent shape. It’s made of a layered yeast-leavened dough which is layered with butter, then rolled and folded several times, rolled into a thin sheet, baked, and thus resulting in a scrumptious, layered, flaky texture. They are quite versatile because depending on the toppings or fillings, they serve as sandwiches, desserts, pastries, appetizers, snacks, and/or main dishes. Celebrate today by partaking in an almond cinnamon croissant or a cheesy stuffed garlic butter "croissandwich." Yummy to my tummy!
