What am I? You wouldn’t believe that right within your very own city or town (whether you're in the US Capitol, New York, or Cleveland, Mississippi), there waits a small, inviting, often ignored and overlooked facility that’s more like a diamond in the rough. You probably pass it more often than you realize, and just didn’t know what all lies within the walls of a quaint and cozy building. You’ve probably even “visited” (hint-hint) such a place when you were out of town! What am I? (See the video here.)
If you simply LOVE water, then you never get too old to play in it, on it, with it, around it. My family LOVES water! I’m a warm beach descendent and I am at home and at peace when on or near the beach (hey, that rhymes!). My guys love swimming pools and water parks, visiting dams and waterways and spillways, watching running rivers, creeks, streams. WE BRAKE FOR WATER BREAKS! We love water so much that we’ve incorporated exhilaratingly all-season, indoor water breaks into our home school work, half-time, or mid-day refreshers.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY 2018! Our homeschool support group plays an active part in our daily homeschool schedules and activities. We believe we have the absolute BEST homeschool group on the planet! One thing that truly created an immediate foundation for our group is that the fathers (or school principals) play a vital, hands-on, active and interactive role in our planning, meetings, events, gatherings, and field trips. Our dads genuinely deserve to be honored, hailed, and appreciated on this upcoming Father’s Day on June 17th.
IKEA, the humongous home furnishing store, arrived in our town just in time for Christmas in 2016. When my son and I dropped in one afternoon, I was immediately overwhelmed! It is one gigantic labyrinth!!! I don't like mazes, let alone life-size ones! Blessed am I that MY SON SAVED ME!!! He possesses a geographic, navigational mind, and HE LOVES THAT STUFF! So, how do you groom a geographer? How in the world does a teacher/mom with minimal "mapmatical" skills augment the mathematical, geographical, navigational competence and innate intrigue of her child? Here's what we do.
Never stop learning! Why adults seem to stop learning once we finish high school or college is baffling. There is a world (wide web) of boundlessly interesting information in an infinite variety of subjects to learn, read about, discover, and explore. I’m referring to deliberate, purposeful, specific learning. It is when our minds are intrigued and piqued with positive information that our bodies get moving in sync, in flow, in harmony. But… since many of us are now in the business of homeschooling our children, this route allows us to at least remain in the circuit of purposeful learning. So, by all means, let us utilize and explore together four (4) reasons to enjoy learning with... FLASH CARDS!

Are you familiar with “essential oils” at all? Have you only heard of them but hadn’t actually used them or know what/how to use them? If you’re like us, we'd heard of natural oils but had no reason to use them…until now. We stumbled across a “recipe” that turned out to be what we now call AHHHH...ROMATHERAPY! The product and process incorporates fun into a productive, reusable project with repeat value that we absolutely love! Here are four reasons we find it to be an educational experience, and how we create it.
