I’m willing to bet that you have either not heard of these 6 wonderful downtown Memphis, Tennessee museums, or you have not visited all 6! Maybe it’s because they are hidden jewels amongst larger attractions, or maybe most folks believe they’re just children’s museums. Nonetheless, these history museums all reside in beautiful downtown Memphis, they’re all small and cozy, they’re more affordable to enjoy than some of the larger facilities, AND they contain so much enlightening information! With fall season approaching, Memphis weather is about to be PERFECT for outdoor, downtown walking, just in time for an unexpectedly fantastic, majorly surprising, wonderfully educational experience!
Just for you, my fellow home schoolers! Here’s how to make and enjoy a wonderfully interactive, extremely engaging, educationally fun field trip out of one “simple” visit to your very own Bass Pro Shops, specifically the Memphis Downtown Bass Pro Shops. Make that SIXTEEN (16) activities to take advantage of during your visit. Enjoy! :) See video here!)
A few weeks ago, I engaged in a support group discussion about “meeting and greeting.” A recurring concern, it seems, is that most people WANT to feel “welcome” in a group, feel a part of a group by feeling welcomed, but more importantly want to be befriended or approached FIRST! Welllllllll... if the majority of the members each feel the same way, thennnn... who meets who? Who welcomes who? Who ends up feeling welcome in the end? So I thought, this may be a nice chance to share ways on how to BE THE ONE to make the first move, to take the first step in creating possible friends and maybe even long-lasting relationships, AND to give you artistic ideas on how to start the “relationship growth process.”

What am I? You wouldn’t believe that right within your very own city or town (whether you're in the US Capitol, New York, or Cleveland, Mississippi), there waits a small, inviting, often ignored and overlooked facility that’s more like a diamond in the rough. You probably pass it more often than you realize, and just didn’t know what all lies within the walls of a quaint and cozy building. You’ve probably even “visited” (hint-hint) such a place when you were out of town! What am I? (See the video here.)
